Yodas Couch

Greetings From The Void

Yodas Couch

Yoda’s Couch represents a blend of Zen, psychotherapy, and pop culture.

Center

Different perspectives create a space of tension with a central point.
The dialogue at this central point is at least “good enough”—
and undoubtedly better than the struggle between the extremes.

Void

In the center, reality reveals itself in its purest form,
unclouded by our interpretations and judgments.

Bridge

A bridge connects two places.
In the middle, both places are connected, and at the same time, neither of them is there.

Gesprächsrunden

Various aspects of a chosen topic are explored in staged discussion rounds.
These rounds take place in my salon—
an imaginary theater stage where characters from reality and fiction engage in dialogue.

Gedanken

As a seeker, I hover around the center until it speaks to me.
Curiosity keeps me a free seeker, while reality demands my mindfulness.
Thoughts are free; reality is binding.

Publikationen

Every now and then, I manage to publish my thoughts,
to put them on display, so to speak.

In Search Of The Lost Context

A selfie can be taken quickly,
Self-esteem takes more time.
A discussion about narcissism and on the metaphysics of ADHD.

A fictitious round table discussion with guests: a Zen master, an Indian guru, a psychotherapist and a neuropsychologist discuss how self-image and self-esteem develop.

The self finds resonance in the context of people, space and events. This is how self-images and self-awareness develop. Self-esteem is shaped by the quality of relationships and develops over time.

Never play the man, always play the ball
